Lab Assistants are EXTREMELY critical to the success of operations within the Center. We are looking for customer-friendly students who enjoy working in a fast-paced Center and who are committed to student success.
Responsibilities include:
- Helping students operate and navigate through various software applications and online resources to complete homework assignments and special projects.
- Administering college computerized placement test. (Accuplacer)
- Answering questions about programs and services associated with CAPS.
- Assisting staff members with general flow of traffic.
- Maintaining computers and appearance of Center.
- Working with Center staff on special projects.

Tutors are needed to work with students one-on-one, in study groups or in our math and writing centers. Similar to lab assistants, tutors are CRITICAL to the success of so many students.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting students with subject specific assignments and projects.
- Assisting students with study and organizational skills.
- Helping students to access additional resources or services when appropriate.

Other positions such as readers, scribes, and office help to support students with disabilities and/or CAPS staff members are sometimes available. Some assignments are work study only.
