Machine Tool & CNC Technology
The employment opportunities for skilled Operators and Technicians in the Seacoast area in the Metal Manufacturing Industry are projected to grow between 3.9% and 5.5% over the next few years. These jobs pay between $12.37 and $24.58 per hour and are available now. Employers can improve the skills of existing workers and take advantage of the NH Job Training Fund. Individual workers can improve their skills and marketability. An Intro course and an Advanced level course are available at the Richard W. Creteau Regional Technology Center in Rochester
National Electrical Code Update
NH Electricians get re-certified:
- 15 hours of practical application training on the changes that have occurred in the 2011 edition of the National Electrical Code ®
- Satisfy the continuing education requirement for all electricians licensed in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont
- Provide 15 of the required 21 hours of continuing education required of electricians licensed in Massachusetts

Outdoor Power Equipment
For the home mechanic or the professional small engine technician, this series of workshops delivers the theory and hands on experience to maintain and repair a variety of outdoor power equipment and professional level training toward certification.
As an Authorized Technician Certification Testing Center and accredited by the Equipment and Engine Training Council (EETC) and Outdoor Power Equipment and Engine Service Association (OPEESA) the course content follows the required guidelines and maintains the high standards mandated. Classes are held in a NATAF approved Automotive Technology laboratory.
Personal Care Attendant Certificate Program
Join the rewarding field of home care giving! Assist elderly and /or disabled persons to lead fulfilling and satisfying lives in their own homes. Be part of this fast growing occupation.
Upon completion of this 40-hour Personal Care Attendant course, students will receive a certificate of completion from GBCC. The course includes both classroom and simulated skill practice and covers topics such as:

Prenatal Massage Training
Earn 14 NCBTMB Continuing Education hours in this 2-day course for professionals working with pregnant women in any setting and looking to expand their hands-on skills. The training is designed for massage therapists, nurses, nursing assistants, midwives, physicians, doulas, childbirth educators and physical therapist who are looking to enhance their hands-on skills and professional connection with their pregnant clients and patients.
Certificate in Product Inventory Management (CPIM)
Offered in collaboration with APICS, the Association for Operations Management, Granite State Chapter, Great Bay Community College provides preparation for the Certificate in Product Inventory Management (CPIM). ACPIM Certification is essential for professionals in product and inventory management, operations, supply chain management, procurement, materials management and purchasing.

SEARCH facilitates a seamless combination of classroom instruction, career exploration and on-the-job training and support. Project SEARCH provides real-life work experience combined with training in employability and independent living skills. The goal for each student is competitive employment within the community.

START Hospitality Program
(Skills, Tasks, And Results Training), is a one-year classroom and internship curriculum for students over 18 years of age with special needs. The program provides students the real world knowledge and skills for a long-term career in the Hospitality Industry. Workplace and independent capabilities are built in through focused reading, writing and math skills development. This nationally recognized program is a collaboration by the American Hotel & Lodging Institute, the NH Lodging and Restaurant Association, the Strafford Learning Center and Great Bay Community College.
