Overview

To apply for financial aid at Great Bay, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Our Federal School code is 002583.

You must file a new FAFSA each year. The financial aid year begins with the summer at Great Bay. The 2010-11 FAFSA is the application for aid for Summer 2010, Fall 2010, and Spring 2011. The 2011-12 FAFSA is the application for aid for Summer 2011, Fall 2011 and Spring 2012.

Eligibility Requirements

  • To be eligible for financial aid at Great Bay, you must
    • be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen
    • have a high school diploma or GED
    • be a matriculated student in an eligible degree or certificate program
  • For most financial aid, you must have financial need, as determined by the federal need analysis calculation, based on the information provided on the FAFSA. (Several loan options exist for students who do not demonstrate financial need.)
  • For some grants and most loans, you must be enrolled at least half-time (6 credits.) Pell Grants are available to eligible students who are less than half-time.
  • If you accept loans, you must complete loan counseling & sign a promissory note. www.studentloans.gov
  • To receive aid in future semesters, you must meet qualitative and quantitative standards for Satisfactory Academic Progress. These standards are described in the college's Financial Aid Handbook, available online at www.ccsnh.edu/links.html. The website address is mailed to each student who receives a financial aid award.
