Great Bay Community College is pleased to offer placement testing for all prospective applicants to the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Apprenticeship Program. To be considered eligible for an apprenticeship position at PNSY, all applicants are required to take an Accuplacer exam through Great Bay Community College or York County Community College. All applicants are required to submit their Accuplacer scores as a part of their application process.

Testing can be scheduled in-person or remotely. For remote testing, you must have the following:

All tests are 2 hours in length and will be by appointment only. Please have a valid photo ID and the voucher number that will be sent to you available on the date of your test.

Testing Details & Practice Materials
All applicants will be tested on Reading Comprehension; Arithmetic; and Quantitative Reasoning/Statistics/Algebra and must receive the minimum required score in each area all in one test administration. Free Accuplacer practice materials can be found at https://accuplacer.collegeboard.org/
