This course is a regional history of New England and New Hampshire, covering pre-contact Native American culture, the separatists and Puritan migrations, role of New England in the American Revolution, and the process of early industrialization. Various aspects of New England social life and cultural contribution will be examined, as well as the urbanization and diversification of New England and New Hampshire in the 20th century. (Fulfills Social Science requirement.) Fall semester
