A great way to close out the semester 👏

Students, faculty, and staff came together for our end-of-year celebration. Good food, good company, and a well-earned break before finals wrap up. From burgers and hot dogs in the Hospitality Suite to drinks from Aroma Joe’s, it was a solid way to celebrate everything this semester brought.

Always good to see the GBCC community come together like this!

Great Bay Community College's Center for Academic Planning and Support (CAPS) recently celebrated its student employees at their annual luncheon, recognizing the incredible work they do to support their peers across campus.

Congratulations to Justin Ambrose, math and chemistry tutor, who earned this year’s CAPS Outstanding Student Employee Award, and to the tutors who achieved their CRLA certification through the College Reading and Learning Association.

We’re proud of the dedication these students bring to helping others succeed.

On Thursday, April 23, first-year nursing students presented their community posters to faculty, staff, and the college community.

The objective of the assignment was to evaluate how a selected community is implementing measures to address a Healthy People 2030 objective. Each student chose an objective connected to their clinical rotation experience and focused on the community where their clinical placement took place.

Shout out to Fine Arts student Autumn Richardson, who created the two incredible watercolor paintings presented to the Stebbins family, recipients of this year’s Walter R. Peterson Award.

Working on a tight two-week deadline, Autumn designed and brought to life these beautiful heron pieces, honoring GBCC’s longtime mascot with skill and creativity.

A special thank you to Kennedy Gallery and Custom Framing in Portsmouth, NH, for generously donating the mounting and framing.

I believe that through studying for my English degree, I have become a more open-minded, sympathetic and empathetic person.
