Non-Credit Program Scholarship
Great Bay Community College has set aside funds to provide financial assistance to individuals interested in attending one of the Business & Training Center’s (BTC) programs to improve their workforce skills.
Who Should Apply
The scholarship is for individuals who are enrolling in any of our non-credit programs including: Medical Assistant, Medical Office Specialist, Data Visualization Microcredential, Non-destructive testing, Coordinate Measuring Machine Programming, Industrial Maintenance, Solidmodeling, CNC operator bootcamp, and Project Search.
Certain programs such as the CNC bootcamp, Medical Assistant Training, Medical Office Specialist and Project SEARCH require an additional admissions application process.
The scholarship gives preference to applicants who:
• Have a clear vision for how training will help them achieve employment and career goals;
• Have had little or no other educational or training opportunities;
• Have been laid-off from their job;
• Have the drive to set and complete their training goals;
• Demonstrate competency in and a commitment to their chosen field of study;
• Are a legal resident of New Hampshire.

When to Apply
At least two weeks before the start date of the class for which you are applying.
Where to Submit the Application
Completed applications can be emailed to the Business and Training Center.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply for tuition assistance through the Governor’s Office for Emergency Relief and Recovery (GOFERR) before applying for BTC funds. Directions and the application for GOFERR assistance can be found here.
The BTC non-credit scholarship award sizes are individualized and determined by evaluating the costs of the training program, examining other financial aid offered, and taking into account the applicant’s household finances. The maximum award amount is $2,500.
