PORTSMOUTH — The Great Bay Community College Student Nurses Association has partnered with St. John’s Episcopal Church to organize a food drive. Donations gathered during the drive will directly benefit Gather food pantry.

GBSNA is one of many community organizations St. John’s partners with throughout the year to provide food to families all over the Seacoast.

Donations of healthy, low-sugar food will be accepted at organized drop off locations from Monday, March 25 through April 30. Some foods to consider for donations include: tuna in water, canned and dry beans, peanut butter, canned vegetables, whole grain rice, canned pasta sauce (no glass), canned fruit, healthy cereals, and baking items. Personal care items such as shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, and toilet paper are also welcome donations.

Boxes for donations will be in the lobby of Great Bay Community College at Pease, Athletic Instinct in Rochester, the Thirsty Moose in Dover, the South End Fire Station at 25 Durham Road in Dover, and the Edgewood Centre in Portsmouth. If you are a location that would be willing to host a box for donations, email [email protected].
