Currently enrolled students AND new students who enroll this semester are ELIGIBLE.

  • Are you a current student faced with financial burden?

  • Are you looking to enroll at GBCC but finding it difficult due to economic challenges?

At Great Bay, we understand the current situations that many of our students and families face. Whether they have just graduated from high school or have been recently displaced or unemployed, many are finding it difficult to manage the cost of a college education. For 75 years, we have been committed to making college more accessible to our community and ensuring that students can stay enrolled and work towards completing their academic and career plans.

Covering the Gap

These scholarship dollars are intended to cover the gap between free aid (federal, state, or other scholarships or benefits that do not require repayment) and the cost of attending GBCC (tuition, fees, books and supplies).

Scholarships will be based on each student’s individual need with awards typically ranging from $250-$1000.

Students must:

  • be enrolled in a degree and/or certificate program at GBCC

  • be registered for classes in the upcoming semester

  • be making satisfactory academic progress

  • be working with an advisor to develop a plan leading to timely graduation or transfer to a four-year program

  • have completed the FAFSA and submitted any additional financial aid documentation requested by GBCC

Retention or Access-based scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis each semester. The link for the summer application will be posted here in May.
